USPTA Master Professional Angel Lopez directs the tennis-teaching programs at San Diego Tennis & Racquet Club. Lopez and his five assistants are all certified United States Professional Tennis Association pros. This experienced staff helps beginners through tournament players enhance every aspect of their game.
For racquetball and handball players there are seven indoor courts. A racquetball professional is available for lessons.
The Tennis Co. Pro Shop stocks a full line of quality tennis clothing and sporting equipment. Around the patio terraces of the Clubhouse Lounge, members may relax informally while watching the action on the Stadium Court or lounge poolside.

For those wanting to enhance muscle tone and flexibility, two weight rooms are filled with cardiovascular equipment and weights. For a change of pace, members will find basketball, a regulation sand volleyball court and a half-mile lighted jogging track. A health/fitness director and swimming instructor are available to tailor a program to fit an individual's needs.
Other activities include bridge, massage and social events. Children of members are not forgotten. A supervised Child Care Center with play yard is available. Special events throughout the year are planned for youngsters.
Also, the Angel Lopez Tennis Academy at the San Diego Tennis & Racquet Club has been designed to promote and develop tennis and tennis competition among today's children. Youngsters come away with a greater understanding of the game, as well as a new outlook on their role in sports in general.
